Russia Reports Shooting Down 142 Ukrainian Drones

(MENAFN) Russian air defense units destroyed 142 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles and secured a new settlement within the special military operation theater during the past day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported Thursday.

Ministry officials stated that Russian troops captured Bratskoye in the Dnipropetrovsk region through offensive maneuvers, extending their foothold along the western shore of the Haichur River.

The tactical gains established advantageous positioning for continued Russian advancement, the ministry indicated, noting forces seized over 9 square kilometers of Ukrainian fortified positions throughout the sector.

The ministry additionally disclosed that Russian forces executed strikes across 152 locations, targeting power generation infrastructure and maritime facilities utilized by Ukrainian military personnel, drone manufacturing and warehousing complexes, alongside temporary bases housing Ukrainian troops and foreign combatants.
