Russian Strikes Kill Ten, Injure Dozens Across Ukraine

(MENAFN) Russian drone and missile attacks across Ukraine have left 10 people dead and at least 76 others injured over the past 24 hours, according to reports.

Officials from five different regions confirmed fatalities as Moscow continues its regular aerial campaign targeting Ukrainian cities and infrastructure.

As stated by reports, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that an oil terminal in northwestern Russia sustained significant damage, and that two Russian oil tankers were struck near the Black Sea port of Novorossiysk. While details on the extent of damage to the vessels remain unclear, Zelensky said they were linked to Russia’s “shadow fleet,” which is reportedly used to bypass Western sanctions.

Ukraine’s military said Russia launched nearly 270 drones along with a ballistic missile, most of which were intercepted.

Regional authorities reported that three people were killed in the Kherson region, while two deaths were recorded in each of the Odesa, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions, and one in the Sumy region.

At the same time, Russia said Ukraine launched at least 334 drones in return, with the northwestern Leningrad region among the most heavily targeted areas.

As stated by reports, Ukrainian forces have recently intensified strikes on Russian oil export facilities, including terminals in several regions. Kyiv says these attacks have caused billions of dollars in losses by disrupting energy exports.
